We planned if for a Saturday evening (super hot weather, but not as bad as it would later get…) during our neighborhood social distance cocktail. All had a blast and it opened doors to possibilitie.
Read MoreOur world had changed in a way that very few of us have ever seen and felt. You know when insurance companies talk about “the 100 year flood map”, or stats often used in science like “once in a hundred years”???? Now we are all experiencing that 100-year event. It would be hard to find a family that is not impacted in some manner, but I wanted to share an image of my sister-in-law’s neice who is an ER Doc all suited up. Talk about courage and fortitude! In my family and extended family we are blessed to have many health care professionals who give of themselves each day - most of them just want all of us to stay home, or now that some municipalities are opening up, they are asking that we practice social distancing, wear our masks and wash hands. I pray that they, and their colleagues throughout the health care industry, all remain healthy through this. The words “thank you” barely seem enough.

Read MoreOne of my goals for the past couple of years has been to get back to playing my cello. Having been introduced to the instrument in the 4th grade and playing all through college - including professionally in Binghamton, NY and holding the principal cellist position in the University Orchestra and String ensemble all four years - I was a bit anxious after taking a chunk of time off. With careful persistance and support of friends and caring musicians, I re-joined the Alhambra Orchestra. In April, I was lucky enough to have a fellow cello player in the group offer me her spot playing the cello continuo in Vivaldi's Concerto for Four Violins. Here is a snippet of the resulting fun.....
